GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

Linx Training are required to ask for identification documentation from all learners as per course awarding body policies. Linx Training will keep copies of identification and contact details on record for a minimum period of 7 years if successfully completing a programme and gaining a qualification. If not completing the full programme, being removed from the programme or deciding not to continue on the programme, Linx Training will discard all information about the candidate by either erasing digitally or by shredding if physical documents are held. This is done within 30 days of the programme being terminated by Linx Training or the individual. By attending our programmes and providing us with your documentation when attending, you give consent to Linx Training to hold your data in accordance to GDPR.

Linx Training are required to provide photographic documentation as part of the SIA Security Training Courses to the awarding body who then pass your information to the SIA (Security Industry Authority). This process is a requirement in order for the Government to do background checks before granting the SIA Licence to work in the security sector.

All customer data is kept securely on site and policies and procedures are in place to ensure that the data is kept secure in accordance to GDPR and that only the mentioned organisations have access to this data in providing you with your qualification. Personal information is not shared with any other third party organisation unrelated to the course you attend.

Credit & debit card details are not stored by Linx Training. All payments are taken by a payment gateway system securely & safely and details are not stored on any database in-house and information provided is not recorded. All requests for personal data information on record must be requested in writing to Linx Training Ltd head office. Linx Training will comply with GDPR by providing requested information within 30 days of the request. Information can be provided by email or in the post depending on what is held. All responses are provided by email and will be accepted as a formal response in writing.
